The historic Roode Leeuw hotel in Amsterdam's centre houses this private dining restaurant on its basement level. The design conversion of a previous unused space now serves as a unique venue for private dining and gatherings. The design pays homage to Amsterdam’s rich design legacy through bold modern reinterpretation. A sculptural ceiling installation transforms the low ceiling into a feature while warm materials combined with deep colours and rich textures establish a memorable atmosphere.

The design's primary intention was to achieve exceptional flexibility. Users can reconfigure the space effortlessly to match various events such as intimate dinners or business meetings. The large central table makes the space suitable for communal gatherings and seating along the edges offers private alcoves. The curved red paneling of the bar provides a powerful visual focal point while improving the space's overall functionality. The designers paid attention to every detail to expand the space's feel while making it more dynamic and distinct from the world above.
