Marriott Hotel Suites | Rotterdam

In 2022, Marriott Rotterdam sought to elevate the design of its suites to reflect the highest level of luxury, ensuring they remained competitive in the evolving Dutch hospitality landscape.

The design concept centered on the idea of creating "a leisure suite for a business traveller and a business suite for a leisure traveller." This dual-purpose approach was key to enhancing the guest experience, ensuring that the suites catered to both functionality and relaxation, regardless of the type of traveller. The concept combined Marriott's classic luxury legacy with a forward-thinking design that aligns with the future of hospitality in a post-pandemic world. By merging elements of business and leisure, the spaces were designed to be versatile and relevant for all guest categories.

Comfort and a homely atmosphere were prioritized in the Extended Stay Suites, incorporating practical design features such as flexible furniture arrangements and multi-functional spaces to accommodate longer stays. In contrast, the Presidential Suite was designed to exude grandeur and exclusivity, featuring rich materials and a layout that maximized comfort and visual impact. Throughout the design process, the focus remained on creating visually striking spaces with modern, elegant aesthetics, while ensuring practical and functional environments for the contemporary traveller.
